The diameter of this orangery we built in Lichfield is 5 metres by 3 metres built on strip concrete foundations to receive cavity insulated dwarf wall with an insulated concrete floor slab to receive under floor heating. Wall rendered to match existing house.


  • Orangery framework constructed in sepela hardwood timber, requested plain frames with no openers or dummies to have a clear outward view into the garden.
  • Double French Doors opening onto the patio.
  • Celcius high performance efficiency glazing was fitted to the frames.
  • Deep fascia with decorative mouldings fitted above framework.
  • All timber factory sprayed in Farrow " Ball blue green to the external.
  • Flat roof constructed in structure engineered timbers and coated with a fibreglass covering.
  • Hardwood lantern capped with milled aluminium cappings and glazed with self cleaning Celcius high performance glass.
  • Internal timber frame sprayed in a Farrow " Ball white colour, we installed electric down lights and sockets.
  • Under floor heating with a wooden floor was installed and all walls were plastered with skirting to finish.
  • Timber decking was laid to the front and around the orangery to finish.
