Orangery dimensions 8 metres by 4 metres set on strip concrete foundations to receive brick cavity insulated dwarf wall to match existing house. Insulated concrete floor slab to receive under floor heating and tiled flooring. Framework constructed in Sapele Hardwood, factory sprayed internally and externally, customer chose a Farrow & Ball green paint for the internal and external finish.


  • Top openers and dummies to all the windows.
  • Double outward opening French Doors to side elevation opening out onto the patio.
  • Deep decorative fascia with mouldings installed around and above the windows.
  • High Performance, Efficient, Celcius Glass was installed to all the windows. (This type of glass helps to retain the heat in the winter while keeping the room cooler in the summer.)
  • Structure Engineering Timber was used to take the large timber frame glass lantern.
  • Celcius self-cleaning high performance glazing to the lantern.
  • Opening roof lights installed for ventilation and air flow.
  • All lantern timbers were covered with milled aluminium cappings to shield the timbers from all the weather elements.
  • Decorative crestings to finish.
  • Internally we installed all electrical fittings including down lighters with dimmer switches and wall sockets.
  • Plumbing included underfloor heating and a radiator.
  • All walls and ceilings were plastered and finished with skirting and were decorated as requested by customer.
  • We were also requested by the customer to lay a new patio surrounding the orangery and used true slate paving to compliment the orangery.
